Agree the scope before reviewing
Establish which client environment, business objectives and time period the review covers. Agree the standards or expectations you are comparing against, and identify any areas outside the review.
Connect findings to business context
A configuration difference is a starting point for discussion. Explain what it affects, why it matters in this environment and what you still need to understand. Ask the client to confirm relevant business dependencies.
- Check coverage gaps, drift and recurring support themes.
- Discuss open issues and existing risk-register entries.
- Record client feedback and any disagreement.
- Identify changes already planned in the IT roadmap.
Finish with decisions, owners and dates
Separate immediate remediation from longer-term improvements. Give each agreed action an owner, a target review date and a description of the expected result.
At the next review, revisit unresolved findings and compare the updated environment with the evidence behind the original decision.
Turn the insight into action.
